The CBI has arrested 4 individuals, together with two joint director-ranked officers posted within the Ministry of Company Affairs and an affiliate of Alok Industries, in reference to alleged bribery of Rs 3 lakh, officers stated on Saturday.
These arrested had been Joint Administrators Manjit Singh and Puneet Duggal, Senior Technical Assistant Ruhi Arora, all officers of the Ministry of Company Affairs, Reshabh Raizada, an affiliate of Alok Industries, which was acquired by Reliance Industries Ltd in 2019, the officers stated.
“Searches had been carried out in Delhi, Gurugram and Chennai within the premises of the accused which led to the restoration of money of Rs 59.80 lakh (roughly), a number of incriminating paperwork and digital evidences,” the CBI stated in a press release.
Singh and Arora are posted within the workplace of the Director Basic of Company Affairs, whereas Duggal is posted as official liquidator in Chennai.
The company initiated the operation after getting data that Raizada, an affiliate of Alok Industries, is in common contact with Duggal and pursuing for beneficial settlement of a matter of his firm pending with the Ministry of Company Affairs in lieu of undue benefit.
Raizada allegedly persuaded Duggal to conclude the matter favourably and dispatch it for additional clearance to the Director Basic’s workplace.

Duggal instructed Arora on Thursday that the promised bribe of Rs 4 lakh has been delivered at his Dwarka residence by Raizada. Arora communicated it to Singh.
Arora instructed Singh that she would accumulate the quantity and ship it to him on Friday, the company alleged.
