CBI Arrests 3 Corporate Affairs Ministry Officers In Bribery Case

The CBI has arrested 4 individuals, together with two joint director-ranked officers posted within the Ministry of Company Affairs and an affiliate of Alok Industries, in reference to alleged bribery of Rs 3 lakh, officers stated on Saturday.

These arrested had been Joint Administrators Manjit Singh and Puneet Duggal, Senior Technical Assistant Ruhi Arora, all officers of the Ministry of Company Affairs, Reshabh Raizada, an affiliate of Alok Industries, which was acquired by Reliance Industries Ltd in 2019, the officers stated.

Arora instructed Singh that she would accumulate the quantity and ship it to him on Friday, the company alleged.  The company had booked them on Friday for allegedly indulging in corrupt and unlawful actions and, in pursuance of a conspiracy, taking bribe from the non-public individual for exhibiting favour within the information of Alok Industries pertaining to the investigation being made by the ministry for adopting unlawful and unethical enterprise actions.  Within the following trap-and-search operation, the CBI arrested all of the accused.
