In 2022, we launched our first installment of Youngbloods, a brand new class of jazz artists paving their approach, and extra importantly, pushing the music ahead.
Our inaugural class featured 5 thrilling artists, all beneath the age of 30. For our second season, we highlight six artists divided between vibes and brass, offered amongst their friends.
This episode, we inform the story behind three trailblazing vibraphonists: Joel Ross (28), Simon Moullier (29), and Sasha Berliner (25) .
Surprisingly, all three mallet swingers received their begin banging on drums earlier than transferring over to aluminum plates. We hint their particular person trajectories towards jazz stardom; Ross from Chicago, Moullier from Nantes in France, and Berliner from the Bay Space.
Arising, a brass-centered Youngbloods program that includes three fiery horn gamers: Giveton Gelin, Kalia Vandever, and Summer season Camargo.
